
Many years ago when I went on my first
cruise, I was clueless. I thought all that time I spent with Captain
Stubing, Isaac and Gopher watching the Love Boat had prepared me for
the cruise, but I guess I was wrong. I'll never forget being dropped
off at the cruise terminal and seeing one of those behemoths then,
once you board the damn thing it seems to get even larger. There are
stairs, elevators and hallways that seem to go every which way.
Thousands of passengers and on some ships, thousands more crew
members all heading this way and that, it can really make your head
swim. Different ports every day, conflicting show times and multiple
dinner seating's are all thrown in just in case the first wave of
newness doesn't overwhelm you. It can all be quite a shock.
That shock is precisely why I figured I would put out this little book.
You always hear the saying "if I only knew then what I know
now", and it really is true. Well luckily I am going to tell you
what I know now so that you don't have to make the same mistakes I
did. This little book of approximately 18k words is my humble attempt
to help any newbie cruisers learn the ins and outs prior to
